The Predator in the Family

"My uncle took graduation pictures that made my skin crawl."

He watched me too closely. He complimented the wrong things. Then he vanished—left the country to escape accountability. He taught me that not all predators are strangers. And not all families protect you. He chose whiteness, distance, and power over accountability. That pattern didn’t begin with him, but it ends with me.
